I’m Deidre! And this is my little corner of the internet. I’m a woman of many talents and interests currently taking a hiatus (maybe permanently?) from my “corporate baddie” era. I’m also a #boymom, big sister, daughter, and friend. I love to read and I love to learn – and I hope to share what I’m learning with you as I love on my family, raise decent humans, travel, and build generational wealth. And generational wealth isn’t just financial.
One of the reasons I decided to start this blog is because I often get asked about how I manage to maintain my travel lifestyle with kids, what was the name of that book I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, and why I’m not pressed to get my kid into the competitive pre-school academy in the next town over. And selfishly, I read a TON. And many times I don’t implement what I read or forget the biggest lessons learned. So I’ll also be using this blog as my accountability for all of “lessons learned” from the books I read so that I can share, reflect, and remember them long after I’ve returned them to the library (yep, I mostly support my local library because I don’t have the space or the money to keep up with my reading habit!).
So what can you expect on this blog? You might find insights from my latest aha parenting moment, purchases that made my life easier while traveling with my crew, itineraries from my latest family reunion or international trip, or how I changed my investment strategy based on the latest book I read. You really never know. But one thing that’s almost always guaranteed? A book recommendation!
